SPARK Under the umbrella of HVC comes the first process in a three stage system designed and applied to individuals, teams and organisation who are in the early stages of development or are beginning a new phase in their development. To begin working at this level it is vital to assess right at the onset that there is a powerful WHY (stimulus) fuelling the process and the why is given direction through a PURPOSE. Purpose without a strong emotional driver goes nowhere therefore PASSION is required to make anything sustainable. The next three constituents in this process ensure the practical application of the first three. A positive ATTITUDE or mindset, the ability to access inner RESOURCE-fullness, as well as outer resources and finally ensuring the necessary KNOWLEDGE or competencies are present would ultimately propel an idea into a breakthrough. The SPARK formula creates the right state required to launch any process. SPARK creates State |
![]() FIRE The next process under the HVC umbrella and often the mainstay of most coaching interventions revolves around changing state. An individual’s life is a product of their state and an organisation becomes a product of the collective state of its people. Too often the state individuals or organisations find themselves in become counter productive or even destructive with dire consequences and a fundamental change in state is required. A particular state is accessed through what we FOCUS on. The fundamental tenet of learning to change state is learning to change what we focus on or what we pay attention to. Our focus often becomes scattered or diffused when we are unclear about what we really want or what our INTENTION is. Our intention, when clarified and committed to with a high degree of INTENSITY will direct focus with laser-like precision ensuring complete alignment. There generally seems to be a disconnect between what individuals and organisations want and what they focus on, which inevitably leads to breakdowns and never fulfilling their highest potential. Focus and intention without RESPONSIBILITY could be like having the most powerful tool in the world and using it to destroy the world. The ability to be responsible enables us to operate from a point of power with and not power over and from where we are always seeking the win/win for all concerned. Another vital component to changing state is learning to manage individual and collective energy levels. Energy into a system equals energy out of the system and too often our expectations around outputs are unfulfilled simply because not enough energy went in to begin with. Taking full responsibility for managing our energy levels will enhance out ability to change our state to one that is more conducive to getting the results we want. FIRE changes state

FLAME The final process in the HVC Methodology rounds off the three-stage system. As an individual, team or organisation move through the various levels of development, the state they are moving toward and accessing periodically is a state of FLOW. Personal and collective LEADERSHIP emanate from this state of flow and when new LEARNING is introduced into ones cultural DNA as a matter of course, growth and continual development are ensured. With consistent growth and questioning comes the inevitable rise in AWARENESS where the individual or collective begins to “see” or observe more powerfully. This focus on flow, leadership, learning and awareness ultimately sets the course for the next process, that of MASTERY, defined as the desire to consciously improve at something that matters to us. Mastery, from our perspective is something of a paradox where we continually strive for it, but never entirely reach. Everything together perpetuates a continuous process of EVOLUTION where the individual, team or organisation begins a journey to becoming self-sustaining. FLAME Expresses State
